Building upon R&D at the cutting edge of invisible speaker technology, the Mobius ‘iB’ range introduces an entirely new installation technology for plaster finishes.

The all new integrated backbox (‘iB’) option combines any Mobius product with an acoustically tuned steel backbox and the patented Amina front mounting tab fixtures to provide a highly robust sealed unit for trouble free installation and lifelong operation. The Amina front mount process avoids any shimming requirements as of result of substrate depths, automatically ensuring the loudspeaker is at the perfect level ready for skimming, resulting a faster installation times.

First launched in 2017, the award-winning, high-sensitivity Edge series of plaster-up-to invisible loudspeakers has become synonymous with low frequency impact and a truly immersive listening experience. Packaged into a smaller footprint, and using the same tapered perimeter glass resin core as the larger Edge5iBSS and Edge7iBSS loudspeakers, the Edge3iBSS has gained a reputation for providing exceptional performance at a cost-efficient price point.
Designed for installation into dryline walls and ceilings as well as a retrofit into plaster finished surfaces, the ‘iBSS’ update features an all-new integrated backbox that is sealed, acoustically tuned and provides protection to the speaker from any potential contaminants ensuring a trouble free installation and long life. The streamlined installation process automatically aligns the speaker to the correct depth, ultimately resulting in a fast, easy installation.

Example Applications:

Medium-power residential/commercial distributed audio solutions and multi-channel surround sound systems when used with a subwoofer. Designed to be installed into dryline walls & ceilings, but may also be used as a post-plaster retrofit in applications with a plaster skim coat. Can be supplied with high-impedance 100/70V transformer.
